Potter Road Concrete Pavement Construction

October 29, 2009 Jon Duddles 5 comments

The new pavement for Potter Road is currently being poured. These new lanes are tentatively scheduled to be opened to 2-Way traffic (one lane in each direction) by late November-early December. Per IDOT standard, some sawcutting of the pavement may take place within 24 hours of the pavement being poured.  This is to prevent cracking of the new 12″ thick concrete pavement.  Some of this sawcutting may occur  overnight due to the IDOT requirement for the pavement to be sawcut within a 24 hour period.
